In the vicinity of Porto Vromi where is the starting point of our cruise to the famous Shipwreck is the village Anafonitria
in the Northwest part of the island, from where you can admire the panoramic view of the Shipwreck from above.
Anfonitria village , is located on the north western side of the island , just above the shipwreck bay . The village keeps its traditional architecture , there are many restaurants where you can enjoy local dishes with pure products of the village , also there are local stores selling honey , olive oil and hand weaving.
Also you can visit the monastery of Anafonitria , built in the 15th century , in honor of virgin Mary in this monastery , st Dionysios the protector saint of Zakynthos, became a monk and lived there the last years of his life , in the 15th century
